This blog was upgraded to Wordpress 2.5, and as I’ve mentioned before, the new dashboard takes a bit of getting used to. It actually struck me that the developers have almost tried to turn the admin area into a website in itself…
And I guess Hyder (founder of wpauctions.com) thought the same thing, because he’s gone and turned it into a Wordpress theme! I think it works really well too, since it’s a clean design, and soft on the eye. I’m using it as the new OIOpublisher Demo blog theme as it happens.
My only “complaints” would be the inability to use a double-width sidebar (as opposed to 2 thin sidebars), and the fixed colour scheme. I’d really love to see a few versions that use different colours, so that not everyone who uses it looks like they are running an identical copy of the Wordpress dashboard.
But since it’s only at v1.0, I think its safe to say that such improvements may well be forthcoming sooner or later!
