A bit audacious a title I admit, but within the next couple of days I will be releasing the newest version of OIOpublisher Direct for Wordpress, and as far as monetising plugins go at least, I think it will be head and shoulders above anything else out there right now.
After some feedback from some early adopters, I’ve hopefully patched up the holes found (especially regarding widgets and sidebar formatting), and added in a few new features. Not only can you use it to sell paid reviews, not only can you use it to monetise all your old posts through inline linking, but soon you’ll be able to offer both video advertising options, and the sale of custom services. Not too shabby I think!
The only things ‘missing’ will be multiple payment options, and the use of tags in paid posts. Frankly the 2nd option could easily be the responsibility of the blog owner, rather than the purchaser, and so I’m not too worried about that one. I would have liked to add at least one other payment method in there, but that might take a bit more research to find the right post back scripts for setups like 2checkout.
Well, back to work now. The code won’t write itself, unfortunately!

Well sounds very interesting. Have used the software, but I have yet to find a widget. Those small plastic things are really hard to come by! Seriously, I am not going to pretend to understand this, but I will try and get a mate of mine interested in the software, he has just bought his own business etc.

It may take a bit of getting used to, but I hope it’s pretty self-explanatory once installed (just a case of reading over all the different options a few times to make sure you know what they do). I hope that as a blog monetising solution, it will prove to be one of the most useful.
Just added the new version to the site for download, and I’m pleased with it so far.
