Projects
This page contains a list of projects I’m either currently working on, or am looking for partners on. If you want to know more, or have any questions, you can contact me here.
Current Projects:
OIOpublisher [project blog: yes]
My flgship project, which started out as an experiment to see whether a Wordpress plugin could take the place of all the expensive middleman ad sales services. It is now growing into a full blog monetisation suite, focusing not just on ad sales, but also new ideas that have never been explored properly within the blogosphere.
theBigGive [project blog: yes]
My new ‘9-5′ project, setup as part of the Reed Foundation. The site is aimed at high-wealth individuals, businesses, and charitable foundations, who want to find new charity projects to donate to. It functions primarily as a charity search engine, allowing charities to register and list their projects on the site. Work is also being done on bringing a news element to the project, for both charities and potential donors.
ViralBlogAds [project blog: none]
A new project, in partnership with Colin of ViralKing. A blog ad network, with a few unique twists. Stay tuned for more info as things develop!
Looking for Partners:
BlogFans [project blog: none]
If you’re a blogger, and interested in teaming up with others to create a worthwhile forum-based blogging community from scratch, then check out BlogFans.org and share your ideas, experience, and expertise.
OIOplus Network [project blog: none]
I recently re-vamped this old site of mine, with the view of turning it into a project collaboration and education site for web users. I will be keeping this project on the back-burner until I find the right group willing to take the project forward with me, since I believe it requires a collaboration to be successful. The earning potential is what you can make of it, and I believe it will be a good long term prospect. You can visit the site in its current state here, it’s already highly customised. [more]
The Scrap Heap:
LinksInContext [project blog: yes]
A link brokering system. The main difference between this system, and other link exchanges or brokers, is the way publisher pages and advertising links are matched. All publisher pages are spidered for keywords, so that links can be properly matched to the most suitable pages. In content links will become an option once the basic system is stable and fully functional.
Unfortunately, the project stalled after long periods of inactivity. The code may be useful for future projects.
OIOclicks [project blog: none]
A payperclick system, targetted specifically at forum signature advertising. To minimise spam, clicks will only be registered as valid if coming from a forum that has signed up to the program. Forum owners will also earn commission per valid click registered, and will be provided with a plugin to target and prevent “signature spam”. A further possibility is the inclusion of a blurb / preview page when clicking on a link, that will double up as a “human test” to prevent automated click spoofing attempts, and also produce a more meaningful click-through rate. The aim is to bridge the gap between traditional PPC, and pay per action programs.
On the scrap heap for now, unless I decide to revive the idea in the future.
